Here she is!

......The Valentines Quilt!

Its a ragged quilt.....I really like making these they're FAST and FUN! Flannels work really great as well.
You start by putting the 5" squares together with a 5" coordinating fabric for the back and a 4" piece of batting in the middle of each then sewing them together using a 1/2" seam. You sew them so that the slavage edges are on the "right" side. Once you have them all sewn together you use very sharp scissors or shears and snip the edges that are sticking up like "fringe". This is the hardest part....The whole time Im thinking to my self "there has got to be a way to do this FASTER"? Once you're finished, you're vision is blurry, your hand is crippled and you have a cramp in your neck but that doesn't matter anymore..."YOU'RE FINISHED"!!!!
Last thing to do is throw it into the washing machine for a quick wash, then a tumble in the dryer to achieve that signature "Ragged" look!

Im still working on Genevieve's "BIG" traditional quilt. All of the pieces are finally cut and I've assembled one of the blocks, I only have 19 more to go "yipee"! The pattern is called "Turning 40" meaning that you use 40 different fat quarters. The blocks will look very "random" when it's finished. I'll then have to quilt it and add the binding. Im making this one for her "BIG BIRL" bed and so that she'll have something "her mommy made just for her" that she can keep forever. I'll post a picture once its completed.......Stay tuned!
