Made it!

Well, we made it back to Atlanta around 12:45am. I have lots of pics from our visit to Texas however my computer has a virus so I'll include some pics as soon as I can.

She's Met Her Match!!

On Saturday Mom, Genevieve and I went shopping and ran into her good friends Bill & Robin Mote. They had their grand daughter Katherine with them who's 4 years old. I think Genevieve met her match! She drug Genevieve all over that restaurant, they giggled, screamed and had way too much fun. I think Katherine could have actually worn Genevieve out! Silly girls!!

Domino Art

I've been seeing these Domino pendents everywhere and found a class that was being given at this bead/yarn shop I like to go to in Crabapple. The lady giving the class was teaching a technique using rubber stamps. You then layer with alcohol inks, chalks and markers.

It was lots of fun, I actually made two others but I gave those away to friends/neighbors. I wish the picture was a little clearer, anyways you get the idea.

Made it to Texas!

Well, we made it to Texas safe and sound. I had a birthday golf tournament to play Friday morning and then it was GO, GO, GO like crazy to get to the airport. Our plane left a little late but arrived on time? .. Genevieve handled the flight pretty good considering she hasn't flown since she was 9 months old. Then she was still young enough to sleep during the entire flight (no luck for any of that these days). I packed lots for her to do and she stayed relatively busy...The poor guy next to us woke up covered with stickers but he didn't mind ;)...He thought she was "precious"!
We've been shopping and trying to get ready before everyone else gets here, looks like we're just about there. We'll probably be heading back to the ol' "ATL" Sunday. We've got to get busy packing, we're supposed to close on the 9th now

Christmas Countdown

Genevieve and I will be flying to TEXAS (Dallas) Friday December 19th for Christmas!!!! Matt, Mary & Katy to follow shortly after!

Going Once....Going Twice.....

Yap! After much deliberation at the negotiating table our Awesome Realtor helped us close the deal!......The house has now been on the market 5 months, not too shabby considering the current housing situation...Keep our fingers crossed that all goes well and we close on January 15th like planned!
They want to close on January 9th Now!!!!

Hmmmm....I don' t want to know?

Hmmm......Some where between putting her down for a nap and running around the house putting up Christmas decorations somebody decided to get "NAKED" and it wasn't ME!

She seemed to be taking an awfully long nap so I decided to go ahead and get her up, we had an errand to run before if got too late. Now, I had been checking in on her via the monitor, however it doesn't always show things in such detail.....

To my surprise she was totally naked except she was wearing a sock on her right foot and one on her left hand, "go figure"?.....Now keep in mind, she wasn't the only one who was naked.....one of her baby dolls had been de-clothed and Mr./Ms. pony was also with-out his/her saddle??????? Like I said, "I don't really want to know"

I learned a little trick watching Disney Channel of all places. The next time

the waiter brings you your frozen Margarita and you can't stop your self from grabbing the straw and taking several giants hits of this wondrous elixir right out of the gate.

Inevitably guaranteeing you a much dreaded "Brain Freeze". Take your thumb and press it to the roof of your mouth. This little trick supposedly will cure you of all symptoms.........Has to be true if I saw it on Disney!

All the Pretty Horses

I love it when our neighbor lets his horses out to graze. They are especially beautiful this time of year when all of the leaves are changing and the air is crisp and cool....Love it!

Photo Restoration

This guy that I used to work with had taken on the challenge of restoring some old photos that I gave him. This ones is of my Grandfather (He's the one on the far right). You can see how badly the photo had been creased and some one wrote at the top with an ink pen. The picture was taken in Raleigh, NC and they had all just returned from WWII so that would make the year approximately 1945. Shortly after, he met my Grandmother and the rest is history.......

Great Job Steve, I love it!!

We took "G" to trick or treat at friends "Todd & Maci's" last night. There were tons of people out trick or treating in their neighborhood. The girls had a great time and got lots and lots of candy!!

We're going to a Halloween Party tonight, I'll take more pics then.

I'm making chili for the contest, better win this year.......I came in 2ND last year, Booooo!

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

We took my cousin Jennifer and her husband Steven to Burt's Pumpkin Farm near Amicalola Falls this weekend to get pumpkins. The place was pretty packed, it was the perfect Fall weekend and it seems that everyone else had the same idea. Its a great place and lots of fun, it really puts you in the mood for chilly fall weather and Halloween!!
They have so many pumpkins, big ones, small ones, bumpy ones, orange ones, white ones, blue ones, brown ones, flat ones and some of the biggest I've ever seen!
We picked up a few bails of hay and couple of mums and the front porch is ready for Fall.....
Too much fun!

First Camping Trip

We took a camping trip with friends to Amicalola State park for 2 nights. Its was great fun and the weather was perfect, it felt like Fall! More friends arrived the second day, we ended up with a total of 12 adults, 2 kids and 3 pooches!
We roasted marshmallows and made smores (Tip: use Sugar Cones instead of graham crackers, less messy especially in the dark) & played several games around the campfire until the wee hours of the night!!
It was beautiful, Enjoy!!

2 Years Old !!

Genevieve turned 2 years old on Thursday!! My parents, brother and my brothers girl Friend got into town late Thursday night so we celebrated her birthday Friday at Chuck E Cheese. Afterwards, we had birthday cake and presents back at the house.


Saturday we took Genevieve to Monkey Joe's so she could play with two girl friends; Lexie and Allyn Marie. This is a girl who threw a fit about going down a 3' slide only a few months ago and here she is practically free falling down a 15' slide all by herself with a smile on her face!



This is my mom, brother and his girlfriend Nicole who came all the way from Dallas to celebrate with us!!!


This morning after everyone left for Texas before the sun came up, Matt, Genevieve and I loaded up and went to the airport to visit with my cousin Amy and her daughter Carmen while they waited on their connection back to Washington State. The girls giggled and ran around the airport for about an hour until it was time to say good bye.......This was their first time to meet each other!!

Long Time No Post

Whew, its been a while since I last posted. We've been going 90 mph over the past month and this past week was no exception. We left for Kansas Tuesday and just got home a few hours ago. Matt's uncle "J "passed away last Saturday morning of a heart attack, he had just celebrated his 47th birthday in July and their 25th Wedding Anniversary the month before. He was a beloved husband and father and will be missed by his family and community.
Unfortunately I haven't taken many pictures lately however I did take this picture of Genevieve passed out in the car on the way home. I'll try and post something good in the next day or so.

We're going to be getting ready for Her 2nd Birthday that's just around the corner so I hope to have something exciting soon!!

While we were in Biloxi for the 4th we stayed with my Aunt Janet and Uncle David. My Aunt Janet is a big coffee drinker as am I so I knew I'd get my morning fix while I was staying with her. Come to find out, she has switched to decaf. Now I know decaf still contains caffeine but its not quite at the levels I'm accustomed to. Anyhow, until I knew this I had been dragging booty every morning and I couldn't figure out why I was having such a hard time waking up?

Jennifer & Steven took his mom and my aunt to New Orleans the day after we left and while they were there saw this and had to get it for me, Ha Ha!

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July on Biloxi with Family. The guys went deep sea fishing, the girls went to Ship Island and the whole family spent the weekend shooting fireworks, boiling shrimp and relaxing!

Getting Leid

Home for Sale

We decided to go ahead and put the house on the market this week..."Uhgg" I have been dreading it with the market the way it is right now but Summer time is one of the best times to do it. We're ready to get started on our other lot, its just two lots down from where we are now. I know its going to take longer this time and I'm not looking forward to having to keep the house spotless during the week with our busy schedules and pets. Our first house in Allen sold the very weekend it was available and the second house in Orlando....even better, 7 offers the first day...CRAZY!

Bathing Beauty

Today I took Genevieve to the city pool to check it out. She's going to be taking swimming lessons there all next week and I wanted to introduce her to this new place. She loved their kiddie pool and she has gotten very brave. This was the first time she used water wings and they were her ticket to freedom. She loves to float and paddle around on her own, even in the BIG POOL! Wow I can't believe how well she's taken to the water these past few weeks. I thought it would take longer for her to feel comfortable enough to let go of me, "Boy was I wrong".......

Fishin Trip

Matt went on a fishing trip this weekend somewhere in Florida (Steinhatchee)? I never heard of the place, in his words " it was a crap hole fishing town" nothing much to it. No beaches or anything I'd be interested in so "G" and I stayed at the Casa and did girly stuff.

Except for one thing, I mowed the grass this morning when we got home from church. That wasn't girly at all... As a matter of fact it was darn hot out there and the humidity was stifling. I never realized how big my mother-in-laws yard is. It was a good thing that I mowed hers last or else ours never would have gotten mowed at all.

Anyways back to the fishing trip.......The top picture is Matt holding a Sea Trout and the bottom picture is him holding a Red Fish. They caught their limit each day so I'd say the trip was a success!

Zoo Atlanta

Genevieve, both of her grandmothers and myself all went to the Atlanta zoo on Saturday. It was her first trip to the ZOO! She really enjoyed seeing all of the animals, the Giant Pandas were her favorite, and the goats at the petting zoo of course.

First Run Through The Sprinkler

This afternoon after her nap Genevieve got to run and play in the sprinkler (so I thought)......Maybe the water was too cold or she was still a little grouchy from just waking up, cause she wasn't all that into it. I don't think she let much of the water even hit her.

Good Grief "look at that face" you'd think I had pushed her out into a crossfire or something!

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for the upcoming holiday weekend. My parent are coming to visit and I am thankful that Genevieve gets to see them as often as she does. Have a Safe Holiday!!!
