We started with some tiny snow flurries around 4:30pm, so small they flew around furiously with the slightest breeze. On my home I noticed that it was starting to stick, accumulating on top of the mulch and pine straw that people use to line their flower beds. By the time we got home it was starting to actually stick more and more so we got Genevieve and took her outside to see it before it got too dark. She liked it, what there was of it that is. "Oh, and that's not a snow flake she's got between her fingers, God only knows what that was".
The snow turned into sleet a few hours ago for the majority of the Atlanta area, however we are far enough north that it's still snowing and looks like this as I speak. I don't know that it will turn into sleet for us "cross your fingers that it doesn't" because we want tomorrow to be a "SNOW DAY" not an "ICE DAY"!!!!!!! Stay tuned more pics to come.................
