Please Excuse my need to constantly change the background on this blog. For some reason I can not find the perfect piece of eye candy. I will pick one and love it for a few days but as my mood changes I'll get tired of looking at it once again. I wish I could just create my own? Any suggestions on other background sites. I can't exactly describe what I'm looking for, Hmmm lets say......simple, contemporary, whimsical and retro maybe?

First Day of School! First Day of School!
Today was Genevieve's first day of school! She is going to be finishing out the school year in Ms. Pam's Tuesday/Thursday 2 year old class. Since today was the first day we both took her. We pulled up to the school and got in line with the other Vans and SUV's, retied her shoes, then when a teacher came up to the car to take her into the school we kind of just booted her out and drove off? I don't know about Matt but I felt a little pressured to get out of everyone elses way.....Then we noticed that she wasn't progressing towards the school, we saw the teacher pick her up and then they both waved at us as we were passing the playground to leave. About 5 minutes down the road Matt said "I just got this sickening feeling in my stomach that she's sitting there crying because we just drove off and left her. Come on, when have we ever just stopped the car told her to get out and drove away?". Another minute or two passed and we turned around to go and check on her. To our relief she was doing fine. We could see through the small rectangular window in the classroom door that she was playing and mingling just fine, she never missed a beat........I knew she'd be just fine ;)

Hilton Head
We stopped off in Hilton Head for the Night on our way to North Carolina to visit my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin. We stayed at a Hotel on the beach, the weather was perfect but the water was freezing!! Genevieve and I had fun playing in the sand and letting the water chase us!

Guitar Hero

I know that I haven't blogged in quite a while but I had to post this picture of Genevieve the little "guitar hero". She saw this yesterday while she was out shopping with Grandma and had to have it. She was such a ham, moving her head side to side, swaying her body back and forth and singing....she was a Natural!

It's Been a While
Hi there, its been a while. We've been so busy since we returned home from Texas. I know that's not an excuse, its the truth plus my computer contracted a virus right before I left and we haven't had time to fool with it since so my computer access has been limited also. Wow, lots going on! We closed on the house, all of that is final and we're totally moved into Mary's house next door. Its cozy but comfortable. I was trying to study for the GACE I & II tests and help pack/move at the same time. I took both tests last Saturday and I feel pretty good about them. I won't find out my unofficial scores until February 9Th. I start a Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program Tomorrow. We will attend class every Saturday for 6 hours, there will be a break in the summer and then when the kids resume school in August we'll continue with a 3 week practicum and then 15 weeks of student teaching. I will be finished December 15Th.
My birthday is Sunday, Matt is taking me to Las Vegas......Part of it is for my birthday and the other part is to partake in some of the builder show. So like I said, "we really have been busy"!
Genevieve is growing like a weed. She is soo tall and her hair is getting long. She's talking alot more than she was at Christmas even. She goes to Little Gym on Fridays with our friends daughter Allyn Marie and that's a good way for her to get out and socialize. I'm ready to get her started in a (pre) Pre-K Program, she's dying to be around other kids.
Well that's all the news I have for now, I'll definitely have some pics when we get back from Vegas!!

Hey it's almost my birthday?
Yes that is right, its almost my birthday. I'm going to be 25!! That's great right? Anyways, aren't these pretty? I just LUUUUUUUUUUV them!!!
I have loved these dishes since the first time I saw them. Lets see....it was 1997, that would make me 14, I was a Nanny for some rich folks who lived across the street from the Dallas Arboretum. Yes, I was 14 and had my drivers license.... I've never been one for florals but when I laid my eyes on these babies I was In Love. Anyways....If anyone needs an idea of what to get me, Huuuuhuummm, it's Portmerion Botanical Dinnerware! Oh, and you can get it at Macy's!

She's Met Her Match!!

On Saturday Mom, Genevieve and I went shopping and ran into her good friends Bill & Robin Mote. They had their grand daughter Katherine with them who's 4 years old. I think Genevieve met her match! She drug Genevieve all over that restaurant, they giggled, screamed and had way too much fun. I think Katherine could have actually worn Genevieve out! Silly girls!!
Domino Art
I've been seeing these Domino pendents everywhere and found a class that was being given at this bead/yarn shop I like to go to in Crabapple. The lady giving the class was teaching a technique using rubber stamps. You then layer with alcohol inks, chalks and markers. It was lots of fun, I actually made two others but I gave those away to friends/neighbors. I wish the picture was a little clearer, anyways you get the idea.
FUN, FUN, FUN!

Made it to Texas!
Well, we made it to Texas safe and sound. I had a birthday golf tournament to play Friday morning and then it was GO, GO, GO like crazy to get to the airport. Our plane left a little late but arrived on time? .. Genevieve handled the flight pretty good considering she hasn't flown since she was 9 months old. Then she was still young enough to sleep during the entire flight (no luck for any of that these days). I packed lots for her to do and she stayed relatively busy...The poor guy next to us woke up covered with stickers but he didn't mind ;)...He thought she was "precious"!
We've been shopping and trying to get ready before everyone else gets here, looks like we're just about there. We'll probably be heading back to the ol' "ATL" Sunday. We've got to get busy packing, we're supposed to close on the 9th now
Hope everyone has a Wonderful Holiday!!!!
Merry Christmas,
Jessica
