Genevieve, both of her grandmothers and myself all went to the Atlanta zoo on Saturday. It was her first trip to the ZOO! She really enjoyed seeing all of the animals, the Giant Pandas were her favorite, and the goats at the petting zoo of course.

First Run Through The Sprinkler
This afternoon after her nap Genevieve got to run and play in the sprinkler (so I thought)......Maybe the water was too cold or she was still a little grouchy from just waking up, cause she wasn't all that into it. I don't think she let much of the water even hit her.
Good Grief "look at that face" you'd think I had pushed her out into a crossfire or something!

This place has gone to the birds.......Turkeys that is

This is what we saw last Sunday as we were heading to church, its a Turkey hen and she was just strolling around in our front yard.....Sorry, all I had was my camera phone so no zoom action.
She must be lost, I though they travel in gaggles or something.

These Boots are Made for Gawking....

We went to our favorite boot store this afternoon so Matt could get a new pair of hiking boots for the summer. The walls are lined with hundreds of creepy stuffed creatures of all sorts collecting dust (Reminds me of the Wax Museum, that place gives me nightmares).
This was "G's" first time in the store and was amazed at everything she saw, pointing and yelling at all the animals......I wonder if this could pass as a trip to the Zoo, Hmmm?
Anyways, here she is helping Matt decide which ones to get. Back and forth she went piling the ones she liked in the middle of the isle.....Busy little bee, I'm sure the sales man appreciated all she left for him to do once we left. "Tee Hee'!
On another note..
For me going to the boot store is like a husband who's dragged to the mall by his wife. I spend most of the time sitting on a stack of boot boxes somewhere between a stuffed Bobcat and a Jackalope patiently waiting and staring into space. There isn't allot of people watching opportunity unlike the mall so I wind up strolling through the store looking for the most ridiculous pair I can find and let me tell ya, its not hard. What makes these so ridiculous to me is they are Men's Boots!

Holy Cow or Gator, what ever they are!

Playing with Playdoh
Genevieve got to play with Playdoh right after lunch today. I think she's played with it before at Gymboree but never at home. I've been a little reluctant because I wasn't sure what she would do with it. She did a great job and she kept it on the table most of the time.
Fyi: Playdoh sticks to (man made) stone. It was weird, almost like the stone started soaking it up? I guess I should just let it completely dry out and then see if I can scrape it off with something. If that doesn't work I'm sure I can find something on the Internet.

Two Postings in One Weekend
Hi Nonni! I wore my new dress to Church today. Can you guess which one it was? The first one or the second one you sent me? Hee Hee! Just kidding, I'm actually glad that we have two, its such a flattering little dress I'd hate to think we'd have to retire this one early on account of a nasty spaghetti stain or worse!!
It was such a beautiful day, when we got home from Church she played outside before lunch. Lexie stopped by yesterday evening with her parents, they were taking stroll down our street and we ran into them as we were getting ready to leave. She and Lexie played in the drive way while we talked to Nikke and Jeff. I wish I had my camera, they gave each other the sweetest hugs in between taking turns riding Lexie's Tricycle.

Up Doo & Telling on You
I tried again to put Genevieve's hair up into a Pony Tail and I do believe its getting there! We've tried it before but her hair was just too short, most of it fell out.
What does a little girl whose almost 20 months do when no one is looking? She climbs on the Dining Room table to play with my decorations! She is so intrigued with these things, they are balls but she is not allowed to play with them? Gee-wiz, she just doesn't understand what the big deal is? I guess I can't blame her...We adults don't make any sense sometimes do we?
