18 Month Check-Up

We just had our 18 month check-up and we've grown soo much! She is off the charts in height 34.5" and 90th percentile in weight 28.5lbs!! We had to get our last set or immunizations "Booooh", the good news is we don't have to get anymore until we're 4 Yay!

Mmmmm That's Goooood!

Saturday Geveiveve, Mary, My Mom and I took a drive to Helen, its a little German town just north of Atlanta about an hour from our house. The Chattahoochee River runs right through the middle and all of the restaurants sit along its banks. We had a great time, Genevieve got to pet one of the horses that pulls a cart, the driver let her feed it a carrot, then we took a ride around the town! Then she got to enjoy some rainbow sherbet before we left for home.....Mmmmmm!

Finished!

I finally finished her new room and moved every thing from her original room over this evening. That's the quilt that I finally finished! Everything in this room has some kind of history......The dresser I refinished for the second time, it was the one Matt had through college...The Bed, my aunts (Dad's sisters) shared growing up. Its perfect for Genevieve in every way.

Its Such a sweet room, I hope she'll enjoy it as much as I did fixing it up!!
Sweet Dreams....

Time to Get Busy

This is the Quilting machine that my mother in law has in her basement. Its pretty darn big and very intimidating at first glance. I had made up my mind that I was going to tackle the beast this weekend. Mary and I got him all set up with the quilt top on one roller, the batting on one and the backing on another. I made 12 copies of the stippling pattern to use with the laser guide, I'm not quite ready to do "free hand". Now I was ready to go.......Achy back, shoulders, knees and 7 hours later I was finished...Thank Goodness, I'm pooped!
Mary is going to do the binding for me and might have it finished tomorrow, yay!
I am now on a Mission to find the perfect paint for the walls and dresser that are the perfect compliments to this Labor of Love!
More pics to come of my progress!

The Cheese Stands Alone...

Hershey's.......I really have to say that you're getting a little stingy with the candy don't you think? I remember even the miniatures to be bigger? Oh wait a minute, could it be that someone has sucked all the peanut butter and chocolate goodness out of the brown paper crinkled cups and left the pretty pastel colored foil wrapper trash in the candy bowl? Gee I wonder who could have done that!

At lease they left the Canbury Egg!

Quilt Shop Hoppin

We visited Mary Saturday morning while she was volunteering for the annual Atlanta area Quilt Shop Hop at "Quiltin Time" her favorite quit shop in Holly Springs. Genevieve was the life of the shop as usual.
Here Ye, Here ye......She got to be their honorary "Bell Ringer" signalling the next door prize drawing and she did a GREAT job. That gold blurr is the bell"!
